The Wizards got their first win last night, with a 116-115 OT win over the 76ers. John Wall lead the way with 29 points, 13 assists, and 9 steals. He also created some excitement at the start of the game when he broke out into "The Dougie" combined with the John Wall dance from his season at Kentucky.
Some people would mind the dancing, but this gets me excited and definitely left people watching with something to talk about. With the numbers Wall put up on both sides of the court, it should encourage a few more dances.
Cartier Martin hit a game tying 3 pointer to send the game into overtime with .3 seconds left in the game. Then with 7.1 in overtime, Andray Blatche blew past Elton Brand and got hacked at the basket. Blatche sank 2 free throws to give the Wizard the lead for good.
John Wall now has 71 points and 31 assist in his first 3 games and is the third player in history to have at least 60 points and 20 assist in his first 3 games, and with 13 assist on Tuesday, he pulled into a 3 way tie for the most assist in his first 3 games. It looks like John Wall is providing some excitement around the league, and is an early Rookie of the Year canidate, hopefully, that will lead to win for the Wizards.
