Shanahan Misplaced A Defensive Lineman Already
With their first preseason game a little over a week away, the Washington Redskins have been holding full team practices. While there's been little of real note to report, all signs indicate that the team is coming along nicely, falling into a rhythm with one another and basically gelling as a unit.
But then, there's the strange case of Kentwan Balmer. Kentwan Balmer, a defensive lineman in his 5th year in the NFL was signed by the Redskins in 2011. For the last three days they haven't been able to find him.
Shanahan and company found his hotel room cleared out and that's about it. He's gone, poof, vanished.
This man stand 6'5" tall and weighs in around 315 pounds. How do you misplace someone that big? I have to wonder if maybe Shanahan isn't getting a little too long in the tooth and becoming forgetful about things like this.
I'm sure Balmer would have been used primarily in backup and emergency situations, but still, you should at least know where you left your players from day to day. It's the responsible thing to do.
In all honesty, I sincerely hope this young man is alive and well, and just flat tired of the B.S. life of an NFL player. Maybe he's gone back home to open a hot dog cart business or something? All we can do is wait and watch to see what happens.
I hope he is opening a Hot Dog business though, "Kentwan's Weenie Hut" sounds like a promising venture.
