Redskins win, 3 way tie for first
Redskins get a big win today over the Packers to move into a 3-way tie for first place in the NFC East. Trailing most of the game, the Redskins defense kept the Skins in the game, and McNabb made a timely play when it mattered most. Down 13-3 in the 4th quarter McNabb connected with Anthony Armstrong for a 48 yard TD pass, and Gano tied the game late with 1:07 to go.
The Packers had a chance to win in the final drive of regulation but Mason Crosby hit the left field goal post on a try from 53 yards out with :01 second left on the clock.
In overtime, Rodgers' downfield pass was picked off by a diving LaRon Landry at the Packers 39-yard line. Two short passes, a holding call on linebacker Brady Popping and a pass interference penalty on Charles Woodson moved the ball to the 22, helping Gano get in easy field goal range.
McNabb finished the game with 357 yards passing, 1 TD, and 1 INT. That 1 TD pass was something that the Redskins have been missing for years. Someone who could make a play, after the defense has kept it close for you.
