Nationals Are Still On Top of Things

I know it's been forever since my last update here at Capitol City Sports and I promise you it wasn't due to a lack of interest.  Unfortunately I have a regular job that got crazy busy recently and I'm just now crawling out from under it all.

With that said, let's hope this is the start of regular updates once more!  Feel free to leave your comments below.

The Washington Nationals are still on top of the NL East division, with a comfortable 4 game lead over division rivals New York Mets.  Unfortunately, with that good news comes some bad news.  As of today, they are on a three game losing streak.

That's not good you guys.  We need better from the Nats.  It's just about time for their traditional slump, but that doesn't mean we should be expecting them to fail.  With the talent this team has stockpiled and their new "go-get-after-it" attitude, they should be doing better.

We, as fans need to demand better from them.  The players should be demanding better from themselves.  The manager needs to demand better from his team.  Better.  

Getting swept in their weekend series by the visiting Yankess is just fuel to the fire if you ask me.  If you don't LOVE the Yankees, you pretty much hate them.  That's just the way it goes.  And if that doesn't give you motivation to bounce back tonight against the Rays, well I just don't know what to tell you.
