With RG3 in place, though without a contract as of today, even Redskins Phenom Linebacker Brian Orakpo says it's a good time to be a Skins fan. While at the NFL Studios, Orakpo made the following comment:
"Our Redskins fans, they've been craving a winning team," he said with a smile. "The only thing I'm going to say is, this would be the perfect time to be a Redskins fan. We've got the key pieces to really take that next step and the sky's the limit for us."
You have to feel for Orakpo. Since his arrival three years ago, he's done nothing but put up with losing seasons. It's interesting that he can remain so upbeat thanks to the addition of a hopefully-franchise QB.
The key to success is consistency, consistency consistency. I, for one, hope to see stability at some of the key positions within the organization. That's not limited to players. I want Shanahan and Allen to stay put, I want Snyder to keep his stupid opinions about football to himself and I want a quarterback who has a decent offense to command be able to flourish in this system.
